Welcome to Breast and Bottle, your trusted resource for expert infant feeding support. As an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), my goal is to help parents and caregivers navigate the journey of breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and/or bottle feeding with confidence and success. I provide personalized guidance and support tailored to meet your unique goals and needs. I provide in-home support in Burlington, Ontario and surrounding cities. Virtual support is also available depending on the nature of assistance needed, or if you are located outside of my service area.

Hello and welcome!
My name is Gillian Kirkwood (she/her) - I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences.
It is my goal as an IBCLC to provide non-judgmental, empathetic care and meet clients where they are in terms of their feeding goals. Whether it’s breast, chest, formula or combination feeding, I am well equipped to help caregivers feel empowered, nurtured and provided with the tools to succeed on their own terms.

Initial Consultation and Feeding Plan
This would be the first step if you're experiencing any difficulties in your infant feeding journey, looking to review the basics of nursing/feeding, or checking in with your current feeding schedule or techniques.
This appointment is approximately 1.5 hours, will include an infant weight check, pre and post feed weight checks, oral assessment and review of breast, bottle or chest feeding techniques.
$200 + HST (For in-person consultations I am currently offering home visits only at this time - contact me to see if you're within the service area).

Follow Up Consultation and Feeding Plan
Often times we need to connect again after an initial appointment to tweak the current plan or address any new issues that have arisen since seeing eachother last.
This appointment is approximately 1 hour, includes an infant weight check, pre and post feed weight checks, and review of current feeding plan.
$150 + HST (For in-person consultations I am currently offering home visits only at this time - contact me to see if you're within the service area).

Virtual Assessment and Feeding Plan
Virtual consultations are a great option if you're looking for prenatal information in preparation for baby's arrival.
This is also an option for initial assessments or follow ups when home visits are not feasible. As infant weight checks and oral assessments cannot be performed virtually, the appointment will not be quite as thorough as in-person consultations.
These consultations usually last 1 to 1.5 hours.
$110 + HST
